ACTIVITIES & ORGANIZATIONS

 EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

To enrich the campus life of international students, the School of International Education holds for international student’s lectures on Chinese calligraphy, opera and drama, martial arts, and other topics each semester. It also organizes a visit to the Great Wall in the first month of new semester and other outing activities around Beijing at the end of the second and third month. The School will put up notices about the organized tours regularly. Besides, the university has football field, basketball and tennis court and sports equipments which students can use in formulated time with Student card or E-card.

INTERNSHIP & PRACTICE

University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) pays much attention to internship and practice for international students. To achieve the goals, UIBE provides great support to recognize all kinds of resource, and organize lots of visiting teaching practices and internship and establish cooperation between the university and enterprises. Up to now, UIBE has established practice bases at tens of famous enterprises such as Midea Group, Haiwan Group, TBEA Group, Hainan Airlines, Cooben International Trade Platform, YOUCARE Pharmaceutical Group, Airbus Beijing, Cherry Auto Group, etc. Every year, UIBE organizes visits and practices at these enterprises according to curriculum contents and help international students to know and experience the economic situation of China.

 

STUDENT ASSOCIATIONS

UIBE International Student Associations include International Student Union (ISU), International Student Volunteer Center, Debate Association, Talents Club, Sports Clubs, etc.

ISU represents all of the international students at UIBE which organizes our students to participate all kinds of activities held by the University. ISU consists of Presidium, Secretariat, Department of Study, Department of Life, Department of PE, Department of Literature, Department of Publicizing, Department of Out-contacting Affairs, etc. The organization is formed by students who enter voluntarily and who are recommended by teachers. The School of International Education will appoint the committee members based on their nationality, gender, group number and other factors. At the beginning of each semester, each class selects 1-2 students as the monitors who will automatically become members of the Union. The membership will be adjusted appropriately each semester.

Being active in both recreational and sports activities to enrich students’ after-school life, ISU keeps abreast of students’ study and living and offer helps to them. It facilitates the communication between students and helps them to progress together.

ISU and all other associations will be the students’ home and welcome each student to join.

 

INTERNATIONAL CAREER ADVISORY CENTER

The graduates of UIBE have broad domain for employment, mainly in government organizations, multinational corporations, financial institutions and business institutions stationed both in and outside China. In order to integrate all resources to help international students to obtain employment, UIBE established the first and the only International Career Advisory Center for international students, cooperating with famous international and national enterprises to organize no less than ten job fairs for international students every year and building platforms for international employment. Famous enterprises such as Sinopec, Sinochem, Sinopharm, China Metallurgical Group Corporation, LG Group, Samsung Electronics, Canon Group, Midea Group, Haiwan Group, TBEA Group, YOUCARE Pharmaceutical Group, Airbus Beijing, Cherry Auto Group, Lenovo Group, etc. will organize “UIBE Recruiting Fair for International Students” and many international talents obtain employment at these enterprises.

 

UIBE INTERNATIONAL ALUMNI ASSOCIATION (UIBEIAA)

Subordinate to the Alumni Association of the University of International Business and Economics, the UIBE International Alumni Association (UIBEIAA) is a Non-Prot Organization, voluntarily and jointly founded by foreign students in UIBE, engaging in alumni reunion affairs. Its main purpose & focus is: enhancing the relationship and cooperation between foreign students, between foreign alumni and the school, and between Chinese and foreign alumni; exemplifying the spirit of “Erudition, Integrity, Exploration and Perseverance” as stated by the University motto to carry forward its internationalized educational system thereby promoting the international political, economic and cultural exchanges. Up to now, UIBEIAA has established six branches in Republic of Korea, Japan, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Lao and Iran.

UIBEIAA is the bridge to build interpersonal relationships, means of gaining access to valuable information, providing opportunities for jobs, study and establishment of business, opportunities for gaining knowledge and experiencing foreign culture, platform for self-training and springboard for achieving dreams and expanding overseas social circles.

 

FAMOUS ALUMNI

  • Dr. Zdzislaw Goralczyk, the ex-ambassador of Poland in China, and the current advisor of president of Poland and Chairman of Polish-Chinese Friendship Association

  • Professor Thomas J. Christensen, ex-assistant Secretary of State of America, and current professor of political science and international affairs of Princeton University

  • Mr. Peter Wilson, he went onto become the Asia Pacific Director of the FCO, and is now the ambassador and Deputy Permanent Representative of the UK Mission to the UN in New York.

  • Mr. Bui Huy Hoang, the current counselor for business affairs of Vietnam Embassy in China
